Outfit from Pukumies. Styled by Yours Truly
Finally! My first edition of Style for Men on Style by Shya. It's something I've been wanting to do for a while and now finally had the opportunity to do. Hopefully there'll be more in the future, because styling men is so much fun! It's a whole other world.
For our first look, I decided to go with a classic one. You can never go wrong with a turtleneck sweater matched with a trench coat. It's timeless.Wearing a turtleneck sweater gives you a very stylish and fashionable look alone, while a trench coat gives you the ultimate gentleman look.Meanwhile, the tartan pattern gives you character. If you haven't really gotten used to wearing tartan just yet, start with a pair of tartan pants.Match with a pair of nice boots and you're ready for business or a night out!
Meanwhile on Instagram:
Matthew Zorpas, Héctor Bellerín, Kevin Prince Boateng
For those who dare to be different, try a whole set in tartan and strong colors.Replace the boots with a pair of sneakers for a more casual, comfortable look. Aside from tartan, another thing that's huge this fall is combination of different fabrics.Try mix and match fabrics such as fleece, denim and linen.
Until next time! Ciao!
If there are any Swedish-speaking readers reading this, you can find a full article here where I tell you all about staying stylish this fall (both men and women).

In collaboration with Amarillo, Vaasa, I've had the pleasure to visit the newly renovated restaurant & lounge, experience their concept "The Table", and try a new favorite of mine, -their vegan burger.
Walking up the beautiful neon light staircase with their signature skull logo on the floor, I felt as if I was going to the club, -only this time I'd be served food and have a comfortable seat from where I could have quality discussions.

FRIENDS & STRANGERS
"Amarillo's slogan is 'Friends and Strangers'. You can come with your friends or you can come alone, - either way you'll be guaranteed a good time", says the 27-year old restaurant manager, Jenna Bast. Her presence is spelled B O S S L A D Y. During our video shoot (video above) I watched how she worked: Always calm and with a smile on her face. She seemed to have an answer to every question and be in control of everything.
Bast continues: "We like to call our bartenders 'Bartainers', and our chefs 'Cheftainers', because they're here to entertain while serving you food and drinks. They'll make sure you have a great time, which you'll notice especially in our new concept The Table".

The tall pillar candles on The Table invites you to a royal atmosphere and let you know you're about to have a feast. And indeed you will. On the menu is:
♥ Welcome Drink
♥ First Course
♥ Second Course
♥ Third Course
The presentation of the food is beautifully done with a few surprises. The concept of chefs and bartenders being the ultimate entertainers of the night are brought to light, and suddenly words such as Cheftainers and Bartainers make perfect sense.
There are eight seats at The Table. You can book the whole table and go with a party of eight, or you'll just go with a few of your friends, or you'll go alone. Since The Table always have to be full, this will mean that you'll be sitting with strangers that you hopefully by the end of the night can call new friends of yours (Friends and Strangers). And I doubt they won't be. Your host for the night have prepared fun ice breakers to make sure that no one sits quietly at The Table.
DID SOMEONE SAY VEGAN?
I have to admit. In the beginning I was a little bit nervous about the food. What if they didn't have anything that would fit my current vegan diet? There's one thing to have vegan options on the menu, another to have tasteful vegan options on the menu. To my delight, I found something I can genuinely say that titillated my taste buds: The Vegan Burger, with vegan dip. I'm not a weekly burger person, but once in awhile a girl gotta have a burger and this is the one.
At the end of the day, everything you need for a good night out on the town were on the menu at Amarillo Vaasa: Professional and entertaining service, beautiful atmosphere, good food and good company. That's what I call a full course dinner menu. ♥

The world is your playground. Go out and play. Be creative. And you'll find your way.
I thought I'd start this post with some midweek motivation and fun music. I wanted to put the mood for the pictures...
We visited my elementary school for this shoot. The same fence was still there - the fence our grade so proudly had painted yellow with stars after our idea had been voted as the best one by the other grades. It was weird. Like nothing had change for the last decade or more. Yet, I felt like I had lived at least three lives since my first day at school dressed in a denim overall.
I had gone out to see the world, tried different jobs, moved several times with the last stop being Los Angeles. And that brought me to thinking that the world and the playground, where I now was standing in front of a camera dressed like a girl scout with a touch of Parisian, weren't that different. In fact, it was pretty much the same:
Just like the swings, -I had been swinging through some rough times in life.
Just like the fence we used to kick ball against, - I had been kicking my own butt to make sure I kept on pursuing my dreams when it would've been so much easier to just quit.
And just like the sandbox where we've built sandcastles and tunnels, - I've built relationships that will last forever and a solid foundation for what's yet to come. The only difference is, I didn't stay in the sandbox. I continued playing outside the box.
As much as I dislike revisiting the past (I live in the present), our location brought a certain energy to the shoot. A mixture of irony and revenge, -like the Universe was laughing at me for worrying all these years, when in fact everything turned out pretty great. And me jumping on a swing trying to laugh back just to prove I'm unbothered.
I'm not a sentimental person, I don't like to feel as if I'm traveling in the past, I don't like to explore or do things twice (even if it might have been fun the first time). I always want to move forward and move fast. But this one time, the past opened my eyes for the future.
I'm not sure where I'll be or what I'll be doing next year. All I know is I'm traveling next month and I'm excited to go out and play again.
