The weekend is once again upon us! And some of you might have plans but no outfit. Do not fear. This post might be just what you were looking for. While you were searching in your closet for something forgotten, this post was put together in a true "Less is More-vibe". With this Denim Special I'm wrapping up my denim-theme on this blog and giving you five effortlessly, good-looking, looks!

1. DENIM SET

Perhaps something that feels extra inviting in this heat are shorts and denim jacket. Easy breezy! With a (white) lace top you'll give the look a taste of summer romance, and with a pair of Nike you're still keeping it street style. Not to mention how much more comfortable you'll be walking from one spot to another. In the evening you can always change to heels!

2. DENIM ON DENIM

A classic. You can never go wrong with double denim. Mix and match the jeans and denim shirt with optional accessories depending on how festive or casual you want to look.

HELSINKI IN 48 HOURS

Going for a small staycation in your own country might seem totally unnecessary and uninspiring. You might say you'd rather save the days for a longer trip to somewhere more exotic than the environment you're already used to. However, with an open mind and change of perspective, your own country probably has a lot more to offer than what first comes to mind. And remember, what might seem like old news to you, might be on someone else's bucket list.

Reaching the capital city of my home country, Helsinki, I was in total "tourist mode" and curious to find out what the city had to offer since last time I visited. This is what I found in Helsinki in 48 hours:

1.HELSINKI CATHEDRAL

Jacket: Guess // Top: Bershka // Jeans: Bershka // Purse: Moschino // Shoes: Nike

Built as a tribute to the Grand Duke of Finland, Tsar Nicholas I of Russia, Helsinki Cathedral was also known as St Nicholas' Church until the independence of Finland in 1917.  Since I couldn't recall a childhood memory at this city landmark (which I'm sure exists but is yet to be remembered), I had to secure a memory on a SD card once and for all. A couple of clicks later we found what we were actually looking for:

ASYMMETRIC

Good mooorning! While I'm writing this I'm on the train on my way to Helsinki. It's been awhile since I've visited the capital city of my home country. The sun is shining, giving me a hint of perfect patio weather when I reach the city.  I can't wait.

Since I'm on the train and have a couple of hours to kill, let's talk a little bit about this look, shall we? ASYMMETRY AND DENIM. So easy, yet so stylish:
Let one side of your shirt fall symmetrically aligned with one side of the skirt, while the other side of the shirt is tucked in on the asymmetrical side of the skirt. Wow, that was unnecessarily complicated. I'm not even sure what I just said. Sounds like a mathematical formula that you would ask your friend to help you out with. Well, as you can tell from the pictures, - it's really a no brainer.
Our "mini-science" behind the outfit gives it a less proper look and is more interesting to the eye. Not what you're going for? No problem! Just tuck both sides of the shirt inside of the skirt and you're ready for your next meeting.

My wardrobe this summer contains mainly of  denim: Shorts, pants, skirt and jacket. They can all be mix and matched with different garments to build several outfits. I don't know about you guys. But personally I want to be out and about in the shortest time possible. With other words, I want to invest about three seconds in outfit-planning and three minutes in coffee-sipping and then be on my way.

Speaking of coffee... I think that's exactly what I will go and get now.
Until next time friends! Ciao! ♥

Can we talk about these jeans with paper bag cut? They feel like an updated version of mom's jeans from the 80's and compliments your waist wonderfully. An absolute new favorite from Bershka. They are the perfect solution for an evening out when you're not in the mood for a dress. Heals will do the trick!
You will most likely spot me in these for the main part of the summer (and fall) simply because they work with everything: Oversize shirts, tight tops, sneakers - whatever you're in the mood for.

Another favorite I've mentioned before, are the 90's sunglasses that I've been wearing in different shapes during spring and summer (read my post California Love here). When shade is not the main priority, pull them down a little bit and let your eyes do the talking  😉

Xoxo ♥
